Heroes and Heroines Live Action Roleplaying Event Costs

Heroes and Heroines run predominantly 36 hour (Friday night to Sunday) Live Roleplaying events, with a few 8 hour events scattered throughout the year and occasional special 66 hour LRP events. We try to keep costs low, to ensure that our events are not prohibitively expensive.

8 Hour events are particularly suited to live roleplaying enthusiasts with younger children (minimum age 8 years, and must be accompanied by a parent/carer) since they do not require an overnight stay.

The following are minimum prices for LARP events run by the club. The majority of events will be priced as below, however occasionally, in order to use a more expensive location or because of other costs specific to that event the price may be a little higher. Any profits made on events by the club are used to purchase kit, weapons and other items which the club needs. We do not have any paid employees or shareholders.

Club membership

Club membership costs £30 and runs from 1st April to 31st May inclusive.  Club membership pays for our insurance and the general running costs of the club, and comes with the following benefits:

• Discounted event prices for club members.
• Free monstering for club members.
• Free costume and weapons loan for club members (£5 for a weapon or costume hire for non-members)
• A warm fuzzy feeling, deep inside, knowing that you’re a part of the Heroes and Heroines family®… 

Costume/Weapon Hire

We also offer new players the opportunity to hire costume from the club. Costume hire for new members is charged at a rate of £5 for a 36 hour event, and is charged to cover the cost of washing and drying the kit after the event. We can also hire weapons and shields at a cost of £1 for a 36 hour event.
